This post is part of a series on how good public relations can help businesses make a name for themselves, promote their products & services, land speaking engagements for executives, influence public opinion or handle crisis situations.
Challenge: The Resort at Pelican Hill, an opulent seaside resort in Newport Coast, opened its doors in November 2009 during the worst economic crisis in the country’s history.
Action: Anton Communications worked closely with the marketing staff to produce written material to promote the resort, its amenities and its environmentally sensitive aspects. During the development of the resort’s two championship golf courses, we produced a six-page article on the state-of-the-art irrigation system with zero ocean runoff that was published in Orange County Coast Keeper magazine, which is read avidly by environmental and clean water advocates. To help boost reservations and promote Pelican Hill, Anton Communications was commissioned to provide content for a glossy 90-page magazine on the resort’s golf, spa, restaurants, villas and bungalows.
Results: The AAA Five-Diamond resort has been internationally recognized with awards that include Conde Nast Traveler’s #1 Resort (Reader’s Choice), Travel + Leisure’s #6 Top Resorts in US/Canada and Forbes Five-Star Rating for the past three years.
