LADERA RANCH, Calif. – July 27, 2015 – Anton Communications, a full-service public relations and marketing agency based in Orange County, has been retained by the Ladera Sports Center to be the exclusive sales-agent for selling naming rights, court sponsorships and other advertising opportunities at the new facility, which will open Summer 2016.

The $35 million solar-powered youth and adult sports facility in Ladera Ranch is expected to draw almost 650,000 players and spectators a year from across California and the Southwest for league play, tournaments, camps and special events. Team Nikos Basketball Academy, the most successful youth basketball program in South Orange County with three national championships, has announced that the Ladera Sports Center will be the academy’s new home and training facility.

“This will be the only state-of-the-art sports facility in the heart of South Orange County, a hotbed of youth athletic performance where the percentage of the population under 18 is as high as 30%-38%,” said Genevieve Anton, principal of Anton Communications, which also will handle public relations for the facility. “Sponsorships with the facility present an incredible opportunity for all types of local and national business to reach families with healthy and active lifestyles in one of the most affluent markets in Southern California.”

“Given that Rancho Mission Viejo, which encompasses Ladera Ranch, plans to build 14,000 new homes over the next two decades, the value of becoming a sponsor at the facility’s inception is going to grow exponentially,” she said.

The 60,000-square-foot gymnasium—which will be open to the public—will have eight full-sized basketball/volleyball courts, student study rooms, a 3,380 square foot strength and conditioning space as well as gym offices.

The facility’s ball courts will have air conditioning and noise decibel reduction systems, superior wood flooring, ceiling-mounted basketball hoops and volleyball nets with 62 to 84 spectator seats per court. Live webcast-enabled cameras will be located on each court enabling parents and sports team scouts to remotely log in and watch games or practices as well as purchase recorded DVDs of the games. In addition, the gymnasium will offer a café providing an array of healthy food and snacks.

Anton Communications is currently seeking sponsors for the Ladera Sports Center from national brands and local businesses. Opportunities include naming rights, court branding, gymnasium signage, tournaments, special events and online promotions.
